Partners Property Services

A Site Redesign For A Lettings Agent

Partners Property Screenshot

The Spec

Partners Property Services are a well established lettings/property management company based in Darlington. They have had a very basic website for the last few years but it was proving to be a problem to update and lacked any functionality that people expect from this type of site.

The Solution

A content management system (cms) was crucial for the company to update/edit and delete their property database. As well as building them a custom cms to facilitate this, I have incorporated a property search into the site. The Google Maps API is also heavily used to generate dynamic maps for all of the properties listed and the site is much more user friendly than their previous one.
The site is scheduled to go 'live' at the beginning of September.

Just Grilles

The Spec

Just Grilles has had an online presense for the past 3 years. Unfortunately, during that time it has never been updated. Although generating a few enquiries, the client thought that it could do a lot better. The spec was to redesign the site making it easier for customers to navigate, find related products and importantly contact the company.

The Solution

Simple, consistent navigation at the top of each page is vital to let the users know where they are. For each product page, there is a supplementary navigation menu on the left that enables cross-selling and access to further products. The contact details are displayed prominently on each page and there is a contact form for general enquiries.

The site is still in development but you can see a preview of it here.

Another Redesign For A Lettings Agent

Wild Properties Screenshot

The Spec

W.I.L.D Properties UK is a recently formed company in this fiercely competitive market. The client needed to be able to update their property listings easily via a CMS as the site's information would be constantly changing and this had to be accessible through a search facility.

The Solution

The site itself has clear branding helping it to stand out from the competition. The client can update property details by using a very simple custom CMS. This also allows for a photo gallery for each property if required. The whole property database can be searched using different factors such as number of bedrooms, price, location etc.
The site is still in development.

A New Site For A Not-For-Profit Organisation

Abilities First Screenshot

The Spec

Abilities First is a not-for-profit organisation helping disabled people and ex-offenders back into the workplace. They needed an online presense to further increase awareness of their cause. Accessibility is a major consideration in any website but especially so due to this site's target audience.

The Solution

The site is deceptively simple in appearance but contains a wealth of information. Users are able to adjust the appearance of all pages via an accessibility options form. They can alter the text size, colour contrast and font-type to make the site as easy to use as possible. There is also a news section updated via a basic CMS providing fresh information about Abilities First.

After working as an Office Administrator for the best part of thirteen years, Natalie Hall decided to start her own virtual assistant business with the focus on working for local businesses, providing an affordable solution for general business admin outsourcing.

The site is a simple information/brochure site. Natalie wanted to provide enough information to potential clients while displaying the necessary contact details prominently on each page. A simple enquiry form completes the site.

A Site Redesign For A Van Sales Company

Nixon's Garage Screenshot

The Spec

Nixon's Garage has been trading for many years. Their old website was in desperate need of a redesign (it had a splash page full of animated gifs!!!). A stock page showing their latest vans was an absolute must in order to support their other online advertising.

The Solution

A very simple site that lets visitors see the latest vans on the home page which click through to the van gallery. The van gallery itself is built using pure html/css ensuring greater accessibility. A tabbed navigation completes the site.
